This tour is more-or-less a reprise of the one in 2002, six years ago. For an explanation of how these "Gourmet" tours are organized, please refer to the diary of last year's event.
On Friday evening, a bunch of us brought our stuff to Vin's ranch and helped load the trailer. Rose (our angel!) brought two pizzas. On Saturday, we all drove from our homes in the north San Francisco Bay area to Oregon. Oliver, Bob, and Beth rode with Vin in his truck pulling the trailer while the rest of us car-pooled in various vehicles.
