Thanks Patty for the flag image at the top of the page. (The flags were at half mast because of the California shootings.)
I was able to get into the basement to finish packing my bike about 7:45. It took me an hour or so. The shops were not open yet so I had breakfast at Manolín, where we had eaten the first day. Inexpensive and good. The Hotel Milano offers a continental breakfast for $5 at the fourth-floor restaurant, but it is pretty wimpy. After breakfast I got my shopping done before I had to go to the airport.
The trip home reminded me why I hate airplane travel. The flight from Ft. Lauderdale to SFO
was 3 hours late taking off, which meant I missed the last Airport Express bus of the night
in San Francisco. So I had to hang around outside the baggage claim area of SFO until the
first bus the next morning at 5:30. By the time I get home it was about 29 hours since I
had last touched a pillow.
