I had just started a new Spanish class at the Santa Rosa Junior
College one week before this tour. Missing one week in the
summer semester is equivalent to two weeks in other semesters.
I promised my professor that I would do the homework in
advance and keep my diary in Spanish. I had to work hard
to get everything done on time. Was it worth the trouble?
What can I say? The weather was perfect, all the riders were
congenial, the scenery was beautiful, and the roads were
excellent with light traffic. You can't ask for anything more!
