The ride from Harrisburg to Memphis was a fairly short one.
Crossing the Mississippi on the Arkansas-Memphis bridge (I-55)
was not as hairy as I feared. There is a walkway (albeit covered
with glass and rubbish) separated from the roadway by a concrete
barrier. We managed to find an inexpensive motel not far from
downtown.
