(Frank) Eating breakfast at Denny's. We're roughing it!
(Alan) An uneventful day for a change. This photo is the lake
on Parrots Ferry Road, on the way into Columbia.
My diary doesn't mention where we stopped this night, but I think
it was in the gold-rush town of Jamestown, in the Sierra foothills
south of Sonora. I do recall taking this photo in the even quainter
town of Columbia where we stopped to soak up the atmosphere.
At the motel we had a
repair party to clean and repack our wheel hubs to get out the
water from our aquatic adventures Sunday. We bought some
waterproof grease at a bike shop so hopefully won't have to do
this again.
